What

Initiated in the US in 1994, LGBT History Month provides an opportunity for everyone to acknowledge and reflect upon the lives of LGBT people and their contributions to society. LGBT History Month takes place every February. It was introduced in the UK in 2005 and now takes place in several countries across the EU and elsewhere in the world.

In Romania the LGBT History Month project is organized by ACCEPT Association.

ACCEPT was founded in 1996 in Bucharest as a human rights NGO. The first Romanian NGO to promote and defend the rights of LGBT people, ACCEPT is still working to promote equal rights for the LGBT community in Romania and support its members.
