Love/Hate Bucharest:

Besides being home, it is a trilogy of neo classical, communist and modern architecture, which makes it wonderful to explore.

Unfortunately, the city is still socially and economically in transition, sometimes leaving room to civic faults, coruption and misery.

Travel tips from Rucsandra:

I like traditional food at La mama Restaurant, coffee and pastry at Paul bistro and beer at Hanul cu Tei

During daytime, I enjoy a walk in Cismigiu Park, a little billiard at Academia de Biliard and a cappucino at Café Verona.

At night, I generally prefer the pubs in Old Town area, live music at Tribute Club or Music Club and dancing / clubbing in Gaia or Bordello's.

I like  commercial centres with electronic products such as Media Galaxy, shopping for cosmetics at Sephora and going through clothes and accessories at vintage fairs.

I like classical Art Museums in general, such as The Contemporary Art Museum, but also unconventional galleries, namely Occidentului Gallery and Alchemia.

One of the most beautiful places I discovered in Bucharest is Gradina Icoanei Park and the surrounding area including Anglican Church and Maternity Fountain.
